Some recent artistic renderings!

Ive been travelling quite a bit recently, and have just got back from a month in the States. I’ve also been playing with some artistic apps on my iPad and have a few offerings from Shropshire and the Grand Canyon!

Shropshire, Dorset and Monkey World!

We’ve been out and about in the motorhome quite a bit recently, and it was nice to visit Dorset, and show the kids where we used to live.

Firstly, we’ve had some great sunsets in the Shropshire Hills recently. These were captured from the Bromlow Callow at the weekend.
Then, we were lucky enough to witness some stunning skies in Dorset.

The highlight of our trip to Dorset was to visit Monkey World. We’ve been watching it for nearly 15 years, and used to live a few miles away, but never took the time to visit. It was amazing to see how much it’s grown, and how the work started by the late Jim Cronin is continuing.

The sky on fire above the Severn gorge.

Another opportunistic mobile phone shot of the beautiful Shire this morning.

The sky was on fire above Ironbridge and Buildwas. This photo was taken from just outside Cressage.

My back is making me miserable at the moment. I’m seeing a physio on the NHS, but it’s not helping. I don’t know whether I need to see a chiropractor or an osteopath.

Anyway, the long and short of it is that I’m not getting out and about as much as I would otherwise like to, which is winding me up.

Anyway, pulling over by the side of the road on my commute is as close as I’ve gotten in a week. This was the view this morning, looking from Hanwood, along the old railway line.

The Golden Ratio

I tried several attempts at using the magical golden ratio in my composition yesterday. What do you think?

Personally, I think I needed to be more off centre. Technically, I could crop to achieve this, but I’d rather get it right first time!
